Mike J Smith

Born and raised in Hamburg, New York, along the shores of Lake Erie, Mike spent his early years playing hockey, golfing, and shoveling far too many driveways. His successful corporate career with Johnson & Johnson took him throughout the East Coast, but in 2004, Mike and his family found their way to Brunswick County, North Carolina, in search of warmer weather, sandy beaches, and a place where snow shovels were no longer necessary.

More than two decades later, Mike has built an exceptional understanding of Coastal North Carolina’s real estate market. Having worked closely with local community developers, land planners, builders, and custom home designers, he brings a unique perspective to the homebuying experience. His extensive background in residential development has made him particularly knowledgeable about master-planned communities, active-adult neighborhoods, new construction, and custom homes.

As a real estate broker with over 20 years of experience, Mike has helped thousands of people discover the lifestyle and opportunities that make Brunswick County such a desirable place to call home. From established waterfront neighborhoods and golf course communities to new developments and coastal retreats, his firsthand knowledge extends throughout the county.

Whether you’re searching for a resale home, exploring new construction, or looking for the perfect homesite to build your dream home, Mike offers the experience, local insight, and trusted guidance to help you navigate every step of the process. He believes finding the right home is about more than the property itself. It’s about discovering the community and lifestyle that fit you best.

When he’s not helping clients explore the coast, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and three rescue animals. You’ll also find him enjoying a round of golf on one of the area’s many championship courses.

With a wealth of local knowledge, a welcoming personality, and a genuine passion for helping people feel at home, it’s easy to see why so many people enjoy working with Mike.
